Transition Tennessee operates https://www.transitiontn.org (the “Site”). Transition Tennessee is an affiliate of Vanderbilt University and is funded through state grants from the Tennessee Department of Education and the Tennessee Department of Human Services. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information we receive from users of the Site.
We gather information so we can improve the content of our website. Your information may also be used when reporting quiz scores or website usage back to the school district you are affiliated with. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. This information will not be shared with or sold to third party vendors.
Information Collection and Use
While using our Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name and email. Information will not be shared with or sold to third party vendors. Your account information will be stored indefinitely. You may erase your data permanently by deleting your account on your profile page.
Users of the Educator Portal:
If you are an educator or other school staff within a Tennessee, we reserve the right to send quiz scores and website usage information to the school district you are affiliated with, and/or to the Tennessee Department of Education. We will not share all quiz attempts of a user, only the highest score obtained for a quiz.
Users of the Provider Portal:
If you are a provider of Pre-Employment Transition Services within Tennessee, we reserve the right to send quiz scores and certificates of course completion to the Department of Human Services for professional development credit. We will not share all quiz attempts of a user, only the highest score obtained for a quiz.
Users of the Student Portal:
If you are an instructor, we will not share identifiable user data with any third parties. If you are a student, we do not ask you to register for this website and no personal or identifying information will be stored. Only aggregate data will be collected for quality improvement and reporting purposes.
Log Data
Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site to improve the content of our site.
This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.
In addition, we may use third party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor, and analyze website activity. The collection of this information is to improve the functionality of our website and to track usage of resources. Tracking website usage helps us create helpful resources for all Site users.
Note that your browser may allow you to submit a “Do Not Track” signal to websites that you visit. There is no industry consensus as to what “Do Not Track” means in this context. Like many websites, Transitiontn.org does not currently alter its practices upon receipt of a “Do Not Track” signal.
Vimeo
The Site uses Vimeo for video hosting which collects data on user activity. This information includes your IP address, your browser type and language, access times, the content of any undeleted cookies that your browser previously accepted from Vimeo, and the referring website address (i.e. transitiontn.org). Note, if Site users are logged in to Vimeo in their web browser, Vimeo may collect additional information and associate this information with the user’s account.

Google Web Fonts
For uniform representation of fonts, this page uses web fonts provided by Google. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.
For this purpose, your browser has to establish a direct connection to Google servers. Google thus becomes aware that our web page was accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web fonts is done in the interest of a uniform and attractive presentation of our plugin. This constitutes a justified interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO.

We may use your information to contact you with newsletters, surveys, conference information, local events and other information related to transition, special education, TN education law, Pre-Employment Transition Services, Vocational Rehabilitation, and more.
