This website serves as an example of how students can be creative in constructing their transition portfolios. This transition portfolio was built and designed by Tanav Kaza, a student, using a website builder called WordPress. WordPress has a free hosted solution as well. Another good simple option is Google Sites.

The student uses this website to highlight his work and education experiences, strengths, and needs. This portfolio website also stores and displays all of the work and projects he has completed during his transition instruction. The work examples on this website have all been created from the materials found on Transition Tennessee’s Student Website.

The Student section of Transition Tennessee’s website provides students with lessons and activities on many different transition topics that will help prepare them for their transition into employment or postsecondary education.

Transition Tennessee’s goal is to support and encourage collaboration between students, providers of Pre-ETS, teachers, families, and other student supports through the use of engaging e-learning and practical hands-on-activities.

For Instructors and Families:

If you are a teacher, service provider, or family member create a free account and log in and view the Instructor Guide for Activity Plans, Lesson Trackers, a Transition Portfolio Tip Sheet, and more! This can be accessed with your Transition TN Educator or Provider login information.

Also be sure to visit the Educator and Provider sections of Transition Tennessee’s website. Each section provides courses with free video modules, downloadable resources, webcasts, and information about upcoming conferences and trainings. These resources equip professionals and families with effective practices in the areas of transition and Pre-Employment Transition Services.
