Instructions

Understanding the steps in applying for Vocational Rehabilitation Services and how they can support you in getting the credentials you need to get a job. Reaching out to Vocational Rehabilitation before you leave high school can help you prepare for your future. In this activity you will be putting the steps you need to take to apply for VR services in the correct order.

  • There are three options for completing this activity
    • Option 1: Print the Activity Cards  and cut out each card. Place each card in the correct order.
    • Option 2: Label the cards 1 through 6 using the space provided on each card.
  • Read each card and put them in the correct order

Instructions

As you begin to plan for your future, understanding the supports you can get from Vocational Rehabilitation will be helpful. After gathering information about VR services, select one person that you are interested in interviewing. Complete an in-person, virtual, or phone interview and gather answers to the questions on this form. After completing the interview, answer the reflection questions.

  • Download the Vocational Rehabilitation Interview Form
  • Identify the person you plan to interview
    • People you might want to interview are: Pre-ETS provider, school counselor, VR counselor, a student who receives VR services, or anyone that has knowledge about Vocational Rehabilitation
  • Set up a meeting with the person
    • Meeting can be in-person, virtual or a phone interview
  • Complete the interview form
