This webcast provided a brief overview of supporting autistic individuals in employment settings. Participants received information regarding:
  • Characteristics of autism, and
  • How to incorporate Evidence-Based practices for worksite support, including: visual supports, task analyses, reinforcement procedures, and video modeling.

Presenter Bios:
Aislynn Kiser, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA is a Behavior Analyst with the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center’s Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD). She serves as the Associate Director of Online Education initiatives for TRIAD to build capacity across the state of Tennessee in evidence-based practices for professionals. Over the past eight years, Aislynn’s primary focus has been providing behavior support for students and school teams to enhance learning and inclusion opportunities, as well as, partnering with professionals to support transition to employment. Aislynn is dedicated to creating learning opportunities for home and school connections to strengthen and lead to meaningful outcomes for individuals with disabilities and the professionals who support our communities across the state.

Katie Gregory, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA, is a Behavior Analyst and Educational Consultant with the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center’s Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD). In her eight years at TRIAD, Katie has been a part of a number of different projects, spanning from paraeducator support to social and personal competencies, as well as helping to bridge the gap between education and employment. Each project is focused on building capacity within Tennessee school systems. Katie is passionate about empowering teachers by locking arms with them to implement evidence based practices within their classrooms.
