In this booklet we will cover: looking at how you spend your money now, developing a livable budget that includes a plan for spending
and saving, learning how to save without losing your government benefits, deciding where to keep your money, and learning the best way to borrow money if you need to. You will also learn about assistive technology (AT): what it is, how to pay for it, and how loans from the assistive technology foundations work.

The team at Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation (PATF) has also created a web-based version of their curriculum which is available on www.studymoney.us. This website was created through their partnership with Vanguard to make this information accessible to more people. You’ll find information about such topics including: how to develop your own money map; how you can save money wisely; why building good credit is important; how to protect yourself against identity theft; how to build a personal financial file; and how to look for additional financial resources. We’ve also included activities that will help you put some of what you’ve learned into practice.
