Research Summary:

Participation in online job readiness training improved participant mean scores for all the eight soft skill areas. These 96 high students had significantly remediated soft-skill deficits after online job readiness training in all except two of the soft skills (Communication and Teamwork). The largest percentage of students passed the pretests in those two ceiling-effected skills. Students passed Attitude, Planning and Organizing, Critical Thinking, and Professionalism posttests at higher rates than the Communication, Teamwork,  Interpersonal/Social Skills, and Media Rules posttests. Fifty percent of the students (N = 96) passed four or more of the soft skill areas and received Work Ready Credentials for those soft skills. The Work Readiness Certificate was awarded to three students (N = 96) who passed all eight of the soft-skills posttests.
