Pre-employment transition services (or Pre-ETS) is a program that helps students with disabilities prepare for life after high school. Pre-ETS are provided to students between ages 14-22. This program is a partnership between high schools and the Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program.

    • Visit post-secondary education campuses
    • Discuss disability services available on campus
  1. Workplace Readiness Training
    • Build necessary skills for future jobs
    • Understand workplace expectations
    • Improve workplace social and communication skills

  1. Instruction in Self-Advocacy
    • Learn how to understand their disability
    • Identify legal rights and protections for people with disabilities
    • Develop leadership skills
    • Learn to advocate for own needs

Student Eligibility for Pre-ETS

  • Must have a documented disability
  • Must be at least 14 years old
  • Must be enrolled in a secondary educational program
  • Does not need to be a Vocational Rehabilitation client to receive services
