There are many people around you that can be part of your professional or personal network. A personal network can help you connect with people who share similar interests. A professional network can help you continue your education to reach your career goals.

- Read each scenario
- Identify the person in the scenario who would be a member of a personal or professional network

Instructions
Networking takes time and practice. For this activity you are going to practice reaching out to people and asking them about their careers and experiences with continuing their education.
- Download or print the Recording Form
- Identify 3 individuals that continued their education and have jobs that you would like to learn more about
- Reach out to each individual in-person, through email, or a phone call
- During your interview, fill in the information using the form
- Answer the reflection questions

- What did you learn about the college or training programs you are interested in?
- Have these people helped you with your decision to continue your education?
- Which colleges or training programs are you no longer interested in?
